Hermine Boyadjian

August 26, 1938 - June 17, 2020

Hermine Boyadjian, 81, passed away peacefully in Carson City, Nevada on June 17, 2020. Born in Aleppo, Syria in 1938, she attended the Karen Jeppe Armenian High School and College in Aleppo. In April 1961, Hermine and her brother Joseph Bezdjian immigrated to the United States, eventually arriving in San Francisco. Hoping to meet Armenians in the community, Hermine and Joseph attended a service at St. Gregory's Armenian Apostolic church on Commonwealth Ave. in San Francisco. At the first service they attended, Hermine was impressed by a deacon's singing. She wanted to meet him, and she did. They met, and by all accounts fell in love at first sight. Hermine and the singer, Nazareth, married within a year. Hermine and Nazareth eventually moved from San Francisco to San Rafael where they lived for 44 years and raised their two children, son Mark (Julie, sons David and Michael) of Reno, NV and daughter Maral Boyadjian of Tiburon. Hermine’s boundless energy led her to a career as a real estate agent. She loved it and worked as an agent and later as a broker for more than 25 years. After 51 years of marriage, Nazareth passed on in 2015. Hermine is survived by her children, grandsons whom she adored. six brothers, three sisters, countless cousins, nephews, nieces, aunts, uncles, and dear, close friends. Private services will be held in late September.
